Rakija Tasting Tour in Sarajevo
Experience Bosnian bar culture and taste the (in)famous local spirit on this rakija tasting tour.
Ćevapčići and Šlivovica – these are probably the two culinary specialities that most of us associate with the Balkans. But rakija is much more than just the famous plum brandy – rakija is a part of Bosnian culture, an art and an insight into the mentality of the Bosnians!
Our foodie guide and rakija curator will welcome you at Sebilj, Sarajevo’s landmark, and introduce you to the art of rakija: Where does it come from, how is it drunk?
Accompanied by your guide, you will not only learn exciting facts about the history and tradition of rakija, you will also visit local cafés and learn how to drink this classic drink properly. Of course, you will also taste different flavours: plum, cherry, quince or honey. There will also be typical Bosnian mezze.
Please note: The minimum group size is three people. We reserve the right to cancel tours that do not meet the minimum group size—except for private tours. You wanted to book a private tour with friends or as a couple only? This is also possible on request—just email us.
