Tour Description
Food is an extension of everything we are – our traditions, our national pride, our personal history, our region and our grandparents’ stories. And to dive right into all of those things, and experience Bosnian culture through food, nothing is better suited than a sač barbecue night at the home of a local family!
With fresh seasonal ingredients you’ll buy at the local market, you will learn how to make one of the most authentic and traditional Bosnian dinners there is – sač, a slow cooked meal under the bell with meat and various vegetables.
Be prepared to bring some time: The sač will need about an hour and a half to cook. In the meantime, you can ask us and our family, all the questions you might have, try local beer and wine, and enjoy a platter of mezze (different cheeses and cured meats with bread).
Everybody is welcome – as long as you come with curiosity, a willingness to eat, drink and try new things and a good mood.
Are you ready to be a Bosnian for a day?
