Your wine time begins in Sarajevo, where you start your vacation slowly and relaxed, getting to know Bosnia and Herzegovina first. You want to take a city tour through the eventful history of this impressive city, also known as the Jerusalem of Europe? You just want to go for a relaxing walk or watch the sunset from a unique vantage point above the city? We’ve got you covered, with a suggestion for every desire. We know Sarajevo like the back of our hand, after all!
However, you have a fixed date for your two days in Sarajevo: on the second evening we will meet for a joint Bosnian cooking class! You will get to know typical local dishes (and of course you will also lend a hand yourself!), taste the first Herzegovinian wines.
On day three, we’ll be heading to the wine country! With a freshly brewed coffee in hand, we begin our journey south, with a few stops planned along the way: For example, in a picturesque artists’ village that has been on the UNESCO World Heritage list for years! The first tasting and dinner are held on the wine farm in the evening.
And the next two days will be all about Zilavka and Blatina, the region’s two local wine varieties. We don’t want to give too much away, but tastings are planned at four of our favourite wineries as well as an idyllically located wine bar. In addition, there is a very special workshop where you can take home a one-of-a-kind souvenir!
We have organised a particularly nice accommodation for you on the last day, where you can relax by the pool, because a little break is good after so much wine and wine knowledge to review everything you have experienced!
