Day 1
You will travel to the Drina valley upon arrival. It is located in the wild east of Bosnia and Herzegovina, close to Tara National Park where Tara and Drina meet, and features green pine forests, deep canyons, and high mountain peaks that are snow-capped even in summer. After you arrive, you can go for a walk along the riverbank, and in the evening we all meet for dinner – all dishes are locally sourced, and the ingredients are organically grown. You will soak up the atmosphere of the canyon with other travellers around the campfire.
Day 2
In the morning, a hearty Bosnian breakfast awaits you – and you’ll need it, because you’re already on the river at 10 a.m.! Our certified skippers will accompany you, provide you with all necessary safety instructions, and then the fun can begin: 25 kilometres of breathtaking nature, wild waterfalls, bubbling springs, and plenty of time and opportunity to dive into the cool water yourself. Lunch is included in the price, and you can fuel up with veal, homemade pita, fresh salad, and homemade bread before rafting the final few kilometres to Foča. You will spend the evening in a new accommodation in Sutjeska National Park. You’ll spend an evening around the campfire under the endless starry sky in the wake of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s highest mountain, on the border with Montenegro.
Day 3
The next day is yours to relax in the cabin, go for a walk through the forest, or visit Tjentište, the Valley of Heroes, with its impressive monument. You have a choice! We want to give you enough time to enjoy the atmosphere of the national park.
Day 4
Today you will explore two of the most beautiful places of Sutjeska National Park with your guide! Your destination is lake Trnovačko. Located at 1.517 meters above sea level, with crystal clear waters and surrounded by some of the highest peaks of BiH, it is a stunning place to explore. From there, you also have a perfect view of Maglić, BiH’s highest mountain.
